Devyser CVD is a genetic test for the detection of 7 variants that are considered the most common risk factors for the development of cardiovascular diseases (e.g. atherosclerosis, venous thrombosis):

  • Factor XIII: V34L (rs5985);
  • Fibrinogen Beta Chain (FGB): c.-463G>A (rs1800790);
  • Human Platelet Antigen 1 (HPA-1a/HPA-1b)/Platelet receptor GPIIIa/(ITGB3): L59P/c.176T>C (rs5918);
  • Angiotensin Converting Enzyme (ACE): 287bp gene deletion/insertion (rs1799752);
  • Angiotensin/ Angiotensinogen (AGT): M268T (rs699);
  • Angiotensin II type 1 receptor (AGTR1): c.*86A>C (rs5186);
  • Cystathionine Beta-Synthase (CBS): 844ins68

 

The test is based on fragmentation analysis on ABI 3130, 3730, 3500, 3500 Dx and SeqStudio instruments.

Multiplex PCR takes place in one reaction mixture, which, together with the "single-tube" approach, allows minimizing the risk of sample confusion and cross-contamination.
