LAMP Human TPMT deficiency KIT is a genetic diagnostic test enabling the detection of 3 alleles of the TPMT gene that cause thiopurine S-methyltransferase deficiency:

  • TPMT*3B: rs1800460(A);
  • TPMT*3C: rs1142345(G);
  • TPMT*2: rs1800462(C)

Deficiency of this enzyme reduces the metabolism of thiopurine drugs, which are used as important immunosuppressants. Longer presence of these substances in the body can cause serious side effects of the treatment.

 

The test is based on robust and sensitive LAMP technology followed by melting curve analysis (TaqMan probes). The main advantage of the products is the simplicity and speed of analysis without the need for DNA isolation. Positive controls are included in the kits.

The products are CE-IVD certified and compatible with most available rtPCR instruments (LightCycler 480, CFX96, CFX Opus, RotorGene Q, MIC, QuantStudio 1, 3, 5).
