LAMP Human DPD deficiency KIT is a genetic diagnostic test enabling the detection of 4 alleles of the DPYD gene that cause dihydropyrimidine dehydrogenase (DPD) deficiency:

  • DPYD*2A: rs3918290;
  • DPYD*13: rs55886062;
  • DPYD rs67376798;
  • DPYD rs56038477

Deficiency of this enzyme reduces the metabolism of 5-fluorouracil drugs, which are used in the treatment of cancer. Longer presence of these substances in the body can cause serious side effects of the treatment.

 

The test is based on robust and sensitive LAMP technology followed by melting curve analysis (TaqMan probes). The main advantage of the products is the simplicity and speed of analysis without the need for DNA isolation. Positive controls are included in the kits.

The products are CE-IVD certified and compatible with most available rtPCR instruments (LightCycler 480, CFX96, CFX Opus, RotorGene Q, MIC, QuantStudio 1, 3, 5).
