LAMP Human CYP2C19 mutation KIT is a genetic diagnostic test enabling the detection of 3 alleles of the CYP2C19 gene that cause CYP2C19 enzyme deficiency:

  • CYP2C19*2: 681 G>A;
  • CYP2C19*3: 636 G>A;
  • CYP2C19*17: 806 C>T

Deficiency of this enzyme affects the metabolism of about 10% of commonly prescribed drugs (anticoagulants - Clopidogrel, antidepressants, anticonvulsants, etc.), which can lead to insufficient response to treatment or serious side effects.

 

The test is based on robust and sensitive LAMP technology followed by melting curve analysis (TaqMan probes). The main advantage of the products is the simplicity and speed of analysis without the need for DNA isolation. Positive controls are included in the kits.

The products are CE-IVD certified and compatible with most available rtPCR instruments (LightCycler 480, MIC, QuantStudio 1, 3, 5).
