FraxA 1 Kit - FL is a diagnostic kit for determining the number of CGG repeats (<120) in the 5'UTR region of the FMR1 gene for the diagnosis of fragile X chromosome syndrome.

The test is based on triplex PCR followed by capillary electrophoresis of the resulting PCR products. The length of the products and the corresponding number of CGG repeats are established using the size standard, positive control and allelic ladder included in the kit.

To check amplification, the kit also includes an AMXY detection mix.

The kit is compatible with ABI instruments and is CE-IVD certified.
