LabGscan FRAXA PCR Kit is a diagnostic kit for determining the number of CGG repeats (<220) in the 5'UTR region of the FMR1 gene for the diagnosis of fragile X chromosome syndrome.

The test is based on triplex PCR followed by capillary electrophoresis of the resulting PCR products. The number of CGG repeats of the resulting products is determined by calculation based on the length of the products using correction factors.

The kit is compatible with ABI instruments and is CE-IVD certified.
