eazyplex® EHEC is a ready-to-use, lyophilized in vitro diagnostic kit designed for rapid qualitative detection of Shiga toxin–producing E. coli directly from stool or fecal specimens.
The assay targets key virulence genes associated with EHEC (e.g., stx1, stx2, and eae), enabling prompt identification of potentially serious infections.
Based on LAMP technology for rapid and specific nucleic acid amplification
No DNA extraction required — simplifies workflow and reduces turnaround time
Approx. 25 minutes from sample to result
Real-time detection of amplification
Includes internal inhibition control to verify assay performance and help avoid false negatives
Fast turnaround time compared with culture and traditional PCR methods
Simple workflow suitable for busy clinical laboratories
Direct testing from clinical samples without pre-processing
Lyophilized reagents provide stability and convenience
High specificity for EHEC virulence markers
The test is intended for clinical microbiology and public health laboratories as an aid in the rapid identification of enterohemorrhagic E. coli in patients with suspected severe gastrointestinal infections. Early detection supports:
Prompt clinical management and treatment decisions
Improved outbreak detection and infection control
Public health surveillance of EHEC infections
