eazyplex® MRSA is a ready-to-use, lyophilized in vitro diagnostic kit designed for the qualitative detection of methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA) DNA directly from clinical specimens such as nasal or wound swabs, screening samples, or cultured isolates.
The assay targets the mecA and mecC genes (and accompanying S. aureus species markers) that confer resistance to methicillin and other β-lactam antibiotics, allowing rapid identification of resistant strains.
