NXtec™ D008 DMD is a targeted NGS assay for the reliable detection of DNA copy number variations in the DMD gene associated with Duchenne and Becker muscular dystrophies.
The assay includes two probes for each of the 79 exons of the DMD gene, as well as an additional 50 probes distributed across the X chromosome. It enables the detection of changes ranging from single-exon CNVs to larger X-chromosome CNVs and aneuploidies.
Key benefits
- comprehensive coverage of the DMD gene,
- two probes for each exon,
- analysis in a single reaction,
- low DNA input requirement starting from 20 ng,
- easy integration into existing NGS workflows,
- sample preparation for sequencing within 24 hours,
- straightforward data analysis using Coffalyser digitalMLPA software.
A single NXtec D008 DMD reaction provides coverage equivalent to two separate reactions using the conventional MLPA probemixes P034 DMD Mix 1 and P035 DMD Mix 2, while offering higher resolution.
