The activities of the association Vějíř Kladno are mainly focused on working with children from socially disadvantaged backgrounds. The preschool preparation project offers an intensive preparatory educational preschool program as well as the possibility of individual teaching of children. Socialization of children in the form of visits to exhibitions, theaters, zoos is an essential part of the project. In order to be able to help children as much as possible, we also focus on younger children from the age of 3, where the form of teaching is more connected with play. The goal is to prepare children as best as possible for entry into regular primary school. The Fan Orchestra is a project to help socially disadvantaged schoolchildren. These are regular group lessons of playing stringed instruments. We use the El Sistema methodology, which was developed for children from South American ghettos and has enabled the creation of dozens of orchestras around the world. After a certain time, we also want to create a full-fledged string orchestra in Kladno. But the main goal is to create an environment where children can meet and spend their time with their peers to the fullest. Children learn to regularly exercise and work on themselves and use this ability both at school and subsequently in work and personal life. If some of them become musicians permanently, it will be just icing on the cake.
